I like Heather Thompson's comment, running for 1.5 to 2 hours is boring but it has to be done. She and I agree on that.
Few paved roads back in the 70s, lots of grass and gravel.
Jack Foster was a beast.  Did I hear correctly, 2:15 marathons at age 46?  I just turned 47. Unimaginable.
The scenery in NZ iq quite remarkable.
Tinman, what do you make of Lydiard's hill springing?
