20.07 miles for the day 2:21:32 (7:03)

AM: 10 miles in 1:10:19 (7:01) this morning as sun was heating things up. High today is supposed to be around 90 degrees with plenty of humidity but then things are going to cool down.

Today's 1500 at the worlds was kind of a let down. For those who haven't heard Webb tanked and finished 8th, but Legat finished strong and won. So at least we have one runner with a metal. I really thought they both would!

PM: 10.07 mile trail run in 1:11:13 (7:04) in the sweltering heat and humidity with the Team Good River group.

Nice run Ron. Too bad about Webb. Maybe he just peaked a little early. Hope that's the only problem and not a mental thing.

5.75 this a.m. in soggy S.TX. Avg. 7:35 after a warmup mile and then a hard 1.3 miles and then coasted in. I was wondering how legs would feel after last nights bike time trial. Felt pretty strong really and am pleased with that.

Q1, CV reps today, 7 x 880 @ 3:00 with 90s intervals. Total of 9.7 miles. The temp was about 71 but the humidity was still 85%, I lost 6-7 lbs during the run while emptying a 21 oz water bottle. I'm still sweating three hours later.

It will be hot in Maine today too. Did five miles slow yesterday. After work today plan to do six at tinman tempo pace. I am thinking that will be my goal pace for the first 10 miles of an October marathon. Last 5K will hopefully be faster.

Hmm, have to admit Tuesday, 29th Daily Thread is pretty creative! Had me wondering for a bit! Today was an easy 6.31m@8:33. Tomorrow is a miserable 9m w/ 6x600m intervals @5K pace. :( Add to that I have to get up at 5:00am to meet my running partner for it. When it rains it sure does pour!

I ran the Highbank Metropark trails today during the hottest time of the day. Finished approx. 6.6 miles in 6:47 pace and the legs felt much better after a planned day off.

Didn't post yesterday but ran an easy 4 during lunch. It's been a cool summer until just lately--really starting to heat up now.

Today 14 miles total (10 this morning plus 4 more in afternoon)
Morning workout was 5 x 1000 x 400 jog, then 4 x 200 x 200 jog (3:57, 3:58, 3:56, 3:56, :43, :44, :43, :44). Humid and mid 70's morning, up to 93 but not so humid for afternoon run.

10 miles at Rocky River Metro Park. 3 mile warm up; 2 mile Tinman Tempo in 12:47, 2:00 jog rest; 3 x mile @ 10 mile race effort (6:07 average) w/ 2:00 jog rest breaks; 1.25 miles down. Felt good and strong and controlled. Didn't want to trash myself too much since I'm racing on Saturday.
