Re: Arthritis Reversable?

There is a couple of Doctors who have several youtube videos available concerning this topic. The word Arthritis is translated 'joint inflamation.' Rheumatoid Arthritis is caused by a mycoplasma bacteria in the joints. You can kill the mycoplasma with certain antibiotics. Osteoarthritis is degenerat...

Re: Thank you Tinman!

Your post seems to be a common one for those who hire Tinman. :)

So I also take this time to say thank you for all the time you put in to help people run better.

Re: calf heart attack

I've shared this with two long time runners that have had calf issues in the past. They are very appreciative of the insight.

"Flushing Lactate"

I read oftentimes in varying articles on running about how after a hard day, that the next day it is good to run a few strides or some short faster paced segments to "flush lactate" out of our system. Is lactate really hanging around that long in our muscle fibers? Is the whole "flushing lactate" mi...

Re: Book For Sale !!!

In my opinion, Build Your Running Body, should be required reading for High School Coaches. And certainly should be part of their repertoire. While not a 100% Cover Everything Book For Every Runner, BYRB is a great resource. There probably needs to be a sequel to consolidate and build upon certain a...

He just looks so smooth while doing it. Also remember, he has I think the 2nd fastest time in the world for the 1500 behind Hicham El Guerrouj.

Re: Tinman's New Running Calculator

As an example: Let's say a 40 year old who has began running again after 10 or more years. He has been running for 18 months, and has run 25-35 miles per week for at least 1 year. How much time would need to be run at these 4 types of running in order for the muscles/nerves to adapt so that he can r...

Re: Sharpening for half marathon

I would tend to agree that at least some distance should be run at Half pace. Would 2 x 3 miles at Half pace be ok in the middle of this weekend's long run? Maybe insert 2 x 2 miles during one Medium run in the middle of the week. And lastly, would 400's at 5k pace be good? Example for Tuesday befor...
