Re: Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.

At first sight it`s very simple, like in the 70`s (but with more science). In your plan there are two faster wokrouts and some easy days. It looks that you`re working on a 14 day cycle and it`s very good for me, because every second weekend I`m working all day and I don`t have much time for longer r...

Re: Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.

So, in Tinman training method there, are only 2 phases? The first when you run cv fartleks, tempos and long runs and the second when you run more cv intervals? No speed workouts? (I`ve heard that younger runners<I`m 21> should focus more on improving speed) How could Tinman`s generic schedule look l...

Re: Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.

Thanks Tinman! So, every week in my base I will run either 200m hills or CV Fartlek (alternately) and in my second phase, instead of doing so much speedwork I`ll run much more CV Fartleks and longer Tempos. Then in my III phase of plan I`m going to introduce much more CV intervals. Does it mean that...

Re: Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.
Can you be more specific on what you are currently doing for intervals (ie - 6 x 800m @ 5K pace (6:00 pace) with 400m jog recoveries) and tempos (ie - 4 miles @ 6:20 pace).
Intervals: 5x1km @5k pace or 6x800m @5k pace, 4x1200m @5k pace and sometimes 3x1mile @10k pace re...

Re: Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.
JB, what have you been doing for quality work since March 9? Those are excellent base work outs and you are very strong aerobically but you probably need to be doing some CV reps and race specific training each week as you approach a goal 10K race. Provide more feedback since March ...

Tinman, could you give me advice? My base phase strucutre.

I`m 38` 10k runner hoping tu run 37:xx. I run 5 times a week. Lactate Tolerance Workouts

Are Lactate Tolerance workouts really necessary in every training program? Daniels doesn`t take this type of training into consideration. Why? Maybe, because of fact, that VO2max workout has some influence on "lactate buffering system"... Could speeds slightly above LT (like VO2), in Tinman terms-CV...
