Re: speed endurance reps rule of thumb?
Thank you Tinman , i really appreciate your answer! One last question: During the 6 weeks race preparation, should i do one combo workout (stamina+race pace+speed example:4x1km cv or 3xLT mile+6x400 mile pace+ 4x150-200 at 800pace to 400pace) and the other hard day sould remain the same stamina work...

Re: speed endurance reps rule of thumb?
Thank you Dilluh! I ve been training by the Tinman principles from this September , my mileage is about 70-75 miles/week until this February i ve made a mistake , that every training runs (exept the two workout days) were waaay to slow 9-11min/mile pace , i could time them , now i do them both by ti...

speed endurance reps rule of thumb?
Hy guys! Can anyone name a Tinman rule of thumb regarding race specific rep volume (speed endurance)? I found a post there Tinman reconmends about 4-4.5km worth of mile pace reps as most for a 3.50-4.10miler, but i guess that before the speed endurance reps i sould do some stamina pace. For a 3.53 1...

3-day rotation questions
Hello all! I ve got couple questions about the 3-day rotation. First i would be glad to read some comments , from runners that tried it. Isn t it against the push the pace to times rule? For example 1,easy 2,TT 3,CV fartlek+strides would give 4 or even 5 faster runs in a week , isnt it too stressful...

CV question to knowlagable sources
Hello all! If i get it right CV training does train fast intermadiate (oxidative-glycolitic) fibers to use oxidative Atp , thus they can work last longer or you can run faster. Is Cv training is the so called isopanic buffer zone s hight end? When your blood Ph not lowered , but your blood lactate l...

Re: Before workout
Run at least 10-15 minutes progressively starting out really slow
Afther that : run 5-6 min easy tempo or 2-3 min Lt / cv effort
after that 8x100m strides 100 jog progressively or 4x200 200 jog (Cv to rougly 3k pace)
Jog couple minutes between everything

Re: Tempo and Fartlek training for 3200m/1600m runners
For fartlek workouts: a, Cv effort fartlek: current (today) 5k pace +10sec/km about 3min pickups than jog 1.5min(1min i you re fit) ,about 20-25min worth of pickups b, Stamina/LT : longer pickups about 5-6min slightly slower with 2min recs about 25-30 min worth (30min if youre fit) +3-4x 30sec strid...

strike question
During CV Lt and TT workouts should i use forefoot strike or heel strike ( i run them on racing flats )? I tend to use forefoot strike during my Cv reps(now 3.07-11/km) , but during longer duration reps like Lt or slower miles and even longer or tempo runs i usually healstrike but i dont know that s...

Thoughts on Steve Magness principles and Hs training
Hello Everyone! Any thought on Steve Magness s Hs training log and training principles? I found his mentality quite same to Tinman s training or there are any main differences? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xGYN9t4njvHvTEF2woUxDL6meMhQaBTElSvJcqyAf3Y/edit?hl=en#gid=0 http://magstraining.tr...

Re: training question for a miler
Thank You for all yall answers? Twice a week CV intervals?
Are there any benefits of doing two CV intervall sessions on the same week? Or the second workout of the week sould be something else(aerobic fartlek, tempo,LT)?
Is the progression will be faster with two Cv s in some weeks or should i stuck with 8% cv s of total weekly mileage?
Thanks!
