How would this fit into the season traiing plan? Would this be a mid season workout or end of the season type championship type workout? The thread was about training during an 8 day layoff between races. Would this be a combo with tempo and sharpening components?
Day 4: 15-20 minutes w-up runinng, striders, 3 miles steady at 5k pace plus 45 seconds. Rest 3 minutes, 1 mile at 5k pace plus 15 seconds (rest 3 minutes), 1 mile at 10 seconds faster than 5k pace. 15-20 minutes jog warm down.
