CV training in intervals or continous tempo

Post by kresimir.karas@gmail.com » Tue Nov 26, 2013 1:56 pm

Tom, which one is better approach of training?
5x1km CV tempo or let's say 4-5 km countinous tempo (without 200m recovery) at same pace?
Maybe countinous is much harder for body...

It depends upon what you need and how hard you run the tempo.

If in doubt, run CV intervals because they give you a lot of improvement without much fatigue. Tempos are good for runners, but they have to be careful not to turn them into races.
