I would like to use wickets this year during xc season to help my kids form. My question is how do I figure out the spacing?

I have been looking into the same thing. One of my old college teammates, who was a 2x D.1 All-American in the 110m hurdles, suggested 6ft in between for longer strides patterns in between each and 5ft for short strides patterns. He says there is also an acceleration drills he does where he puts them 4 ft, 4.5, 5 ft and then 6ft (depending on group stride pattern)
