Vo2 Test Accuracy

To get a true reflection of CV pace for training we need a monthly basic accurate Vo2 max test, which time-trial do we use? Vo2 can be held from 4min-8min. Everybody's 4min and 8min pace is quite far separated pace-wise. Are there guidelines, should -9min 3200m runners be running 7mins and +10min 3200m runners be running 6min?
(my plan is to calculate test and convert Vo2 in min : sec/km pace to m/s, multiply Vo2 in m/s by 0.92, this is CV in m/s, convert CV in m/s to CV in min : sec/km pace)
after of course finding out what duration of test to use.
Anyone have any thoughts? Tinman?

It's been stated here before that between a 2400m and 3200m Time Trial (or a race to be more accurate) that is evenly paced, but still all out, will give you a good enough estimate for VO2 Max. Just plug either the 3200 Time, or times that give you the other distances' times, into Tinman's online calculator. Tinman says if you're looking for CV pace, 3k+ is better because it reflects aerobic ability (something like that, just not straight top end 400 speed) better than sub 3k efforts.
