There has been a growing trend of post-race workouts, popularized by Salazar and now used by other pro and college coaches. Tinman, what is your opinion on the trend and what benefits and or downsides are there?
I don't recall the exact thread, but I have seen Tinman recommend some post race work. For example a high school coach like myself might have one of my top runners complete a 2 mile tempo run with striders after running the 4x8 or a 1600 in a low-key meet.
